Free and open-source
The project is fully free and open-source (licensed under GNU GPL v3). It's backed against a solid and modern suite of FOSS libraries.
Easy to use
The interface has been designed to be intuitive and easy to learn. It allows you to teach and learn thematic cartography.
Interoperable
The application accepts numerous input formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile, GeoPackage, CSV, etc.). It can export the resulting map in a number of formats, as well as save a "project file".
In active development, open to contributions
Bug reports and contributions are welcome. You can do so via the GitHub platform. The application is still under active development, and new features are already planned!
Privacy-friendly
Magrit does not collect any personal data. The data you use in the application is not transmitted to remote servers and remains in your browser.
